Multi-Stage Protection Before Air Reaches the Compressor
Gas turbine inlet air filters are installed before external air enters the compressor section of a gas turbine. Their purpose is to reduce the amount of dust, salt particles, pollen and other airborne contaminants entering the turbine system.
Depending on local environmental conditions and the required air quality, the intake system can use combinations of prefiltration, fine filtration and EPA-grade final filtration. This allows different filtration stages to handle different particle loads rather than requiring one filter element to perform every filtration task.
The listed rated airflow is 2,500–4,500 m³/h per element. Filtration grades can be selected from ISO 29461 T7–T12, with an initial pressure drop of 90–200 Pa. Typical dimensions include 592 × 592 × 300 mm and 592 × 592 × 600 mm. The listed normal working temperature is ≤70°C.

Balancing Filtration Grade with Airflow Resistance
Gas turbine intake filtration cannot be selected only according to filtration efficiency. Rated airflow and airflow resistance are also important because the turbine requires a continuous supply of intake air.
Different filtration grades can use different media areas, pleat structures and internal designs. As a result, pressure drop can vary even between filters within the same general product category.
For purchasing projects, the pressure drop of gas turbine inlet air filters should therefore be confirmed at the rated airflow of the actual model.
The product can be used in gas turbine generator sets, combined-cycle power plants, combined heat and power systems, oil and gas facilities, industrial turbomachinery and large compressor intake systems.
Different filtration configurations can also be selected for normal industrial pollution, urban fine particles, high-humidity coastal environments and other site conditions.

Experience in Intake Filter Development and Retrofit Projects
Jiangsu Renhe has manufacturing and engineering experience in intake filtration products. The supplied information states that an intake-filter production line was put into operation during 2009–2011 and that the company later carried out optimization and retrofit work for large gas turbine inlet filtration systems.
The development team continues work on filtration materials and intake filtration technology. Product configuration can be discussed according to filter-house dimensions, target filtration grade, environmental contaminants and system airflow.
For replacement projects, filters can be developed according to the dimensions and installation method of the existing product. OEM/ODM and manufacturing from technical drawings are also available for equipment manufacturers.
Batch Procurement and Specification Continuity
Before volume production, buyers can discuss samples, dimensions and filtration configuration. The minimum order quantity for filter elements is 20 pieces.
Standard cartridge-type filtration products generally require 7–10 days for production. Customized products requiring new tooling need additional development time according to the final structure.
During manufacturing, photos or videos can be provided. A 100% inspection is carried out before packing, and third-party inspection is accepted.
International orders can use cartons with three-plywood pallets or wooden cases to protect filter frames, filtration media and sealing areas during transportation.
For replacement programs and long-term spare-filter purchasing, gas turbine inlet air filters can be produced according to previously confirmed dimensions, filtration grade and installation structure, helping reduce repeated technical confirmation for later orders.
