The Cleanroom Fan Filter Unit, also known as an FFU, combines a fan, high-efficiency filter and control components in one modular clean-air device. Air is drawn from the upper section or return-air area, passes through the internal HEPA or ULPA filtration stage and is then supplied continuously to the clean space below.


Rated airflow ranges from 770 to 2,300 m³/h. The outlet face velocity can be configured from 0.30 to 0.50 m/s. Available filtration grades include H13, H14 and ULPA, while the listed typical initial static pressure is 80–120 Pa.


An EC high-efficiency fan can be used, and airflow can be adjusted through speed control according to cleanroom requirements.

Modular Arrangement for Different Cleanroom Sizes

 

Unlike a passive filter that relies entirely on a centralized air-handling system, each FFU actively provides filtered airflow through its own fan.


Multiple units can therefore be arranged according to cleanroom area and air-supply requirements. If the production area or process layout changes, the number of units or individual airflow settings can be adjusted to change the clean-air supply capacity.
